Senior Secure Service Edge (SSE) Design and Implementation Specialist – STÄNGD (Stängd)

Background:

Our clients Cybersecurity Program is focused on enhancing the company’s overall cybersecurity posture. As part of this initiative, a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Secure Service Edge (SSE) solutions will be executed in the second half of 2024.

Role Overview and Objectives:

This is a senior-level position, requiring experience in SSE architecture, design, and implementation in large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions across various clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecting and defining SSE requirements
• SSE solution design
• Vendor evaluation for SSE
• Implementation of Proof of Concept (PoC) for SSE
• Testing the PoC implementation
• Evaluating the PoC and drafting the final report

Potential Extension into 2025:

• Designing a production-ready SSE setup
• Implementing the production SSE solution

Skills and Experience Required:

• Comprehensive knowledge of SSE solutions
• Expertise in network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, secure web gateways)
• Proficiency in cloud security services, including SASE, CASB, and Zero Trust
• Strong understanding of encryption standards and secure communication protocols
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms

Additional Requirements:

• Proven experience designing and implementing SSE solutions in large enterprises
• Ability to lead PoC implementations, testing, and evaluations
• Strong skills in creating architectural designs and detailed implementation plans for SSE
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex security challenges
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units

Time Commitment:

0.8-1.0 FTE required from October to December 2024, with potential for extension.

Location:
Location is negotiable. The majority of work can be completed remotely, leveraging digital meetings.
