Idea and Objectives of Assignment

• Enable monitoring for outstanding services in order of priority
• Work with the organization to gather monitoring requirements and implement and build monitoring workflows.
• Resolve outstanding issues together with the platform owners and adjust the monitoring thresholds to reduce the static noise within the platform.
• Work on developing routines and workflows for monitoring within both the infrastructure group as well as other departments using Logic Monitor
• Be part of the hosting team and assist with day to day hosting activities

Main areas of responsibility: Implementing and maintaining our monitoring solution

Requirements

• At least 3 years of working with monitoring solutions as a systems administrator
• Has set up and troubleshooted configuration of monitoring systems, preferably Logic Monitor.
• Has worked with departments to analyze monitoring needs and gathered the needed requirements
• Need to have an understanding of monitoring needs from a server, network and database perspective to be able to understand what is the best approach forward.
• At least 3 years experience from working with servers and applications, especially from Microsoft environment
• Be comfortable to use powershell to bulk update (e.g. configurations), due to the size environment the ability to script to scale Be comfortable to use the solution is important.
• Knowledge about change processes, the changes we make will impact production environments and changes need to be handled with caution
• Has a structured approach, Understands how to configure efficient alarms
• Fluent in English
